Lohekamakaula “Lohe” Kaaloa, 74, of Hilo, died April 18 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a farmer, masonry contractor and an executive assistant for the former Mayor Stephen Yamashiro and served in the United States Marine Corps. Friends may call at Uncle Robert’s Awa Club in Kaimu, Kalapana, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Friday for a celebration of life, followed by lunch. Casual attire. No flowers.
